Day 01 : Places: Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong, Shillong sightseeing (150Km/8hrs). Stay: Shillong.
We will receive you at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station/Hotel. From there we will take you straight to Scotland of the East, the beautiful hill station, Shillong. Shillong is famous for its Scotland like weather, and its scenic beauty with green hills and pine trees. We will stop at Umiam Lake to enjoy the panoramic lake view. Depending on the availability of time, we will show you the sightseeing spots like Cathedral of Mary Help of Christian Church, Ward’s Lake, Don Bosco Museum, Elephant falls, and Shillong peak. Stay in Shillong.
Day 02 : Places: Around Shillong Sightseeing (100km/8hrs), Stay: Shillong.
After breakfast, we will take you to the Laitlum Canyons, situated at around 30kms away from Shillong, near Smit valley. Your journey will be greeted by beautiful boulevards of oaks and pines. After enjoying the cloudy landscapes in the green canyons, we will take you for some more nature sightseeing around the city. We will take you for the sightseeing of Mawphlang sacred grove, which is a sacred forest in the outskirts of Shillong. You can take guided tour of the forest where you can stroll through the forest and a guide will explain you the importance of the forest, which is optional. We will also show you the Elephant falls and Shillong peak on this day (note: as of now the peak is closed for visitors since the pandemic).
Day 03 : Places: Jowai Sightseeing (220km/8hrs), Stay: Shillong.
After breakfast, we will start our journey towards the exciting sightseeing of Krang Suri waterfalls. Situated at around 90kms away from Shillong, in the Jaintia hills, Krang Suri is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of India. It is famous for its crystal clear blue waters. En-route to Jowai, we will also show you the Phe Phe Waterfalls near Krang Suri waterfalls (if you’re enthusiastic about a little bit of trekking). After enjoying a wonderful day, we will return to Shillong for the night stay.
Day 04 : Places: Shillong to Mawlynnong, Mawlynnong sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (200km/8hrs). Stay: Cherrapunji.
After breakfast, we will head towards the Asia’s cleanest village Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong is famous for its cleanliness and living root bridges. After reaching there, you will be taken on a short trekking route to witness the wonder of nature – a living root bridge known as Jingmaham living root bridge. We will also show you the balancing rock. After finishing the sightseeing, we will head to Cherrapunji – the wettest place on earth. Your stay for the night will be at Cherrapunji.
Day 05 : Places: Cherrapunji sightseeing. (50Km/7hrs). Stay: Cherrapunji.
This day would be sightseeing at the wettest place on the Earth! Yes, we are talking about Cherrapunji, which holds the all-time record for the most rainfall in a year. Cherrapunji is famous for Wah Kaba falls, Arwah Lumshynna Cave, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Seven Sister waterfalls, Mawsmai caves (and of course the unending rainfalls of summer) etc. We will show you all the mentioned places in Cherrapunji. The night’s stay will be at the same place in Cherrapunji.
Day 06 : Places: Cherrapunji sightseeing, Cherrapunji to Guwahati, Drop (180Km/7hrs).
After breakfast, we will do some more of the sightseeing in Cherrapunji. We will take you for the sightseeing of We Sawdong Waterfalls, which is popularly known as Three-Step falls. Then, we will head back towards Guwahati. After reaching Guwahati in the evening, we will drop you at the airport/railway station/hotel with the beautiful memories of Northeas
