Day 01 : Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100km/4hrs)
We will pick you up at the Guwahati international airport and take you to Shillong; the “Scotland of the East” located around 100 kilometres away from Guwahati. On the midway to Shillong, there is a beautiful lake known as Umiam Lake famous for picturesque landscape. We will stop there to enjoy the view and then continue our journey towards Shillong. After reaching Shillong, if there is enough time we will show you the local places in the city like the Wards Lake, Don Bosco Museum and Lady Hydari Park. You will stay for the night at Shillong.
Day 02 : Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (245km/9hrs)
Our next will begin with journey towards Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. The places to visit in Mawlynnong are: a living root bridge and of course the village itself. Then we will move to Dawki, a town very near to Mawlynnong and famous for Umngot River and Dawki Bridge. Also, it is at the border of India and Bangladesh. From there we will take you to the beautiful Cherrapunji. The stay will be Cherrapunji.
Day 03 : Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60km/7hrs)
The next day will be a complete sightseeing day of Cherrapunji, the wettest place on Earth. Famous for the rains of the summer Cherrapunji is a beauty to enjoy. The sightseeing of Cherrapunji includes the Mawsmai caves, the Seven Sister waterfalls, the Nohkalikai waterfalls and the living root bridges. The complete day will be day of enjoyment of a weather you never witnessed in a place you never visited. The stay will be at Cherrapunji.
Day 04 : Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (370km/9hrs)
370 kilometres away from Cherrapunji, there is waiting a different weather to welcome you with cool breeze and smell of fresh tea leaves. We are talking about Kaziranga of Assam, famous for the one horned rhinoceros. We will start our journey there next morning. It will be a day of enjoyment of roadside views, curly roads, plain paddy fields and green hills. After reaching Kaziranga if time permits, we will show the local spots and stay for the night there.
Day 05 : Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)
The next day will be full of excitements as you will be going to see many wildlife species in a same day. The day will start at the early morning with the elephant safaris. You will enjoy the wildlife on the back of an elephant. You will also get a visit to the park in the afternoon on the jeep. SO, it will be a complete day of fun. Other sightseeing of the places like the orchid garden, the ethnic village, the local village and the tea gardens will also be done on that day. Also, do not forget to enjoy the traditional Assamese cuisine with different fish curries in the meantime. The stay will be at Kaziranga.
Day 06 : Kaziranga to Guwahati (240km/5hrs)
Next day we will take you to Guwahati. After reaching there, we will take you out for sightseeing of the city. Guwahati is called as the gateway of Northeast. With the beautiful views by the side of the river Brahmaputra, there are many places to check out in this city. The Kamakhya temple, Umanada – the smallest river island in the world, river cruise of the great river Brahmaputra, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra and Balaji temple are some of the beauties to check out in Guwahati. The stay will be at Guwahati.
Day 07 :Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)
After complete sightseeing of the city and the local places, we will drop you at the airport on the said time of this day. A memorable trip of the north-east India will end here.
