Day 01 : Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100km/4hrs)
Our trip will start with receiving you at Guwahati international airport. From there we will take you directly to Shillong, which is estimated to take nearly hours from Guwahati. Shillong is a beautiful hill station located in Meghalaya. Famous for its beautiful cloudy Scotland like weather, drizzling rains, up and down roads, it is popularly known as “Scotland of the East”. In the route to Shillong from Guwahati, we will stop at Umiam Lake where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. On reaching Shillong, we will check you in the hotel for the night stay. If time permits, we will take you to sightseeing of the beautiful city and its culture.
Day 02 : Shillong Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)
The next day we will be doing the sightseeing of the whole Shillong city and its neighbouring areas. . The main attractions of Shillong are the Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park with an adjacent mini zoo, Don Bosco Museum, Elephant waterfalls, golf course etc. Shillong weather is great for visiting at any time of the year. Some drizzling rains, breezy mountain winds with the whispers of the pines, and the views of the beautiful lakes and the wonderful waterfalls would make you want to stay forever. The night’s stay will be at Shillong.
Day 03 : Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (245km/9hrs)
From Shillong, we will head towards Mawlynnong in the morning. Mawlynnong is a beautiful village in Meghalaya, which is also popularly known as the cleanest village in Asia. There is a beautiful living root bridge, which is formed naturally over a long period of time. After enjoying the sights of Mawlynnong, we will move to Dawki. Dawki is a small town in the border of India and Bangladesh. It is famous for boating on Umngot River and a suspension bridge on that river. From there will take you to Cherrapunji. You will be staying there for the night.
Day 04 : Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60km/7hrs)
This day we will go out for sightseeing of Cherrapunji. Cherrapunji is the World’s wettest place. The rain almost never stops in the summer, really. So, be prepared to enjoy this beautiful place with raincoats and umbrellas. The living root bridges, the Mawsmai caves, the Nohkalikai waterfalls, the Seven Sister waterfalls are some of the amazing places to check out in Cherrapunji. For the night we will stay at Cherrapunji and next mornig we will start our journey to the beautiful Kaziranga.
Day 05 : Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (370km/9hrs)
It would be a 9 hours drive next day. You will be mostly enjoying the hilly roads, paddy fields and plain views of Meghalaya and Assam. Of course no need to mention about the tasty local cuisines of two different states on a same day. On reaching Kaziranga, we can check out the local sightseeing places if time permits. You will stay at Kaziranga.
Day 06 : Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)
The next day, very morning we will take you out on the amazing elephant’s safaris of Kaziranga where you can enjoy the animals from very close proximity. You will also get jeep safaris in the afternoon. In the mean time, we will make sure that you enjoy every bit of Assamese culture, its people and its cuisine. We will also take you to the orchid gardens, tea gardens, ethnic villages and local villages. The stay will be at Kaziranga.
Day 07 : Kaziranga to Guwahati, Airport Drop (240km/5hrs)
From Kaziranga, we will take you to Guwahati in the morning to drop you at the airport. After reaching there, if if time permits, we will show a place or two around Guwahati before dropping you at the airport. We will show you place like the Kamakhya temple or the Balaji temple or the Deepor Beel.
