Day 01 : Places: Airport Pickup, Jorhat to Majuli (55Km/4hrs). Stay: Majuli.
Exploring the tribes and cultures of northeast India is inquisitive as well as very intriguing. The incredible northeast trip will start at Majuli, at the heart of river Brahmaputra in Assam. After picking you up at the Guwahati airport, we will take you straight to Majuli. Majuli is the largest river island in the world. It is also the first island district of India. With an area of around 1250 square kilometers, it is a complete package to check out the cultures and tribes of Assam. After reaching Majuli, we will stay there at a hotel.
Day 02 : Places: Majuli Sightseeing (6hrs). Stay: Majuli
We will start exploring the river island on this day. Majuli has a number of Satras, which are a type of institution or monastery of Vaishnavite culture pioneered by the Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva. It has also different tribal villages including tribes like Mising, Deori, and Sonowal Kachari. There are also cycle trips available in Majuli. The people of this island are very simple and lovely in nature. Majuli is a very large island, with an approximate population of 167,000. It is so large that you will hardly believe that you are in a river! The stay for the night will be at same place.
Day 03 : Places: Majuli to Aalo (310Km/8hrs). Stay: Aalo.
After breakfast, we will move towards Aalo (also known as Along). Aalo or Along is situated on the bank of Siang River at altitude of 1020 ft. It is a beautiful valley with picturesque landscapes. Aalo is the land of Galo and Adi tribe. The Adi tribe is the most inhabited tribe of Arunchal Pradesh. Overnight at Aalo.
Day 04 : Places: Aalo to Mechuka (200Kms/6hrs). Stay: Mechuka.
After breakfast, we will head towards north-western direction to Mechuka valley. It is a mesmerizing valley in the Himalayan foothills, situated at an elevation of around 6000 feet above the sea level. The river Yargyapchu (aka Siyom) flows in the valley of Menchukha. Our stay will be at Mechuka.
Day 05 : Places: Mechuka sightseeing (50kms/6hrs). Stay: Mechuka
After breakfast, we will start our local sightseeing of Mechuka. Mechuka is primarily home to the Memba and Ramo (Adi) tribes. We will visit the local monastery situated in the town. We will also take you for short trekking and nearby beautiful spots by the Siyom river. After a complete day of enjoying breathtaking landscapes, we will return to our hotel for the night stay.
Day 06 : Places: Mechuka to Aalo (180Km/8hrs). Stay: Aalo.
After breakfast, we will move towards Aalo (aka Along). Aalo or Along is situated on the bank of Siang River at altitude of 1020 ft. It is a beautiful valley with picturesque landscapes. Aalo is the land of Galo and Adi tribe. The Adi tribe is the most inhabited tribe of Arunchal Pradesh. Overnight at Aalo.
Day 07 : Places: Aalo to Dibrugarh, Airport Drop. (220kms/7hrs).
After breakfast, we will start towards Dibrugarh. After reaching Dibrugarh in the evening, we will drop you at the airport in accordance to your departure time.
