Day 01 : Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Kaziranga (240km/5hrs)
Right after receiving you at the airport we will take you straight towards Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park (KNP) is a world heritage site situated in Golaghat district of Assam. KNP is famous for the one horned rhinoceros, which is found nowhere in the world but in Assam. KNP, which has an area of around 430 square kilometers, is also home to a wide range of wild animals including royal Bengal tiger and many beautiful migratory birds. We will be staying at a hotel in Kaziranga.
Day 02 : Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)
We will take out for sightseeing of KNP. At first early in the morning, we will take you to the elephant safari spot of the national park. With a cold morning breeze, you will get to visit the park on the back of elephant. You will be taken to the places where normally jeeps or trekking is not possible so that you can have a better view of the wildlife. After that we will show you the local sightseeing places around Kaziranga like the the ethnic village, orchid garden, the tea gardens etc. We will again take you for jeep safari of the park in the afternoon. The night’s stay will be at the same hotel.
Day 03 : Kaziranga to Bomdila (240km/7hrs)
From Kaziranga, our next Destination would be Bomdila. We will head out to Bomdila in the morning. Bomdila is a beautiful town situated in the foothills of Himalayan ranges. It is famous for Himalayan birding as the Eaglenest wildlife sanctuary is nearby the town. The other attractions of the town include a monastery (Bomdila monastery), Bomdila market, Bomdila view point, emporium etc. The night’s stay will be at a hotel in Bomdila.
Day 04 : Bomdila to Tawang (185km/8hrs)
We will start our journey towards Tawang from Bomdila. We will get many places to see on our way to Tawang. We will visit those places one after another and then we will finally reach Tawang at last. On our way, we will show you a hot water spring nearby Dirang valley, Dirang – Dzong, Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, Sela Lake (or Paradise Lake situated near Sela Pass), Jaswantgarh war memorial (right below Sela Pass) and Nuranung waterfalls (before reaching Tawang). We will stay at Tawang.
Day 05 : Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)
Next day in Tawang we will show you all the places within Tawang. The notable places to check out in Tawang are the Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, the 2nd largest monastery in Asia – the Tawang Monastery, the Nun Monastery and rope ways to Nun Monastery, apple orchards, emporium etc. The stay will be at the same hotel.
Day 06 : Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)
We will take you for sightseeing around Tawang (which are not within the vicinity of Tawang) like the India – China border at Bum La Pass, Sangester Lake, Heart Lake, Y Junction, PTSO Lake, Nagula Lake etc. We will come back to Tawang by evening. The stay will be the same hotel. Also please note that the Bum La Pass visiting borders are not obtainable within a day. So, if you are planning to visit the international border, then please make sure that you are choosing one our itineraries with at least three days’ stay in Tawang.
Day 07 : Tawang to Dirang (145km/7hrs)
We will take you back to Dirang from Tawang in the morning. Dirang is a valley also situated in the foothill ranges of Himalaya situated in Arunachal Pradesh. It falls on the way to Tawang from Bomdila. It is very famous among the birders as they often come to this valley for Himalayan bird watching. On reaching there, we will show you the beautiful valley and the sightseeing places around Dirang. The places to see in Dirang are Dirang – Dzong, Tibetan villages and the architectures of the village, a monastery, and an old electricity generating mill.
Day 08 : Dirang to Tezpur (190km/7hrs)
We will come back to Tezpur from Dirang. Tezpur, also known as cultural city of Assam, is a beautiful city with historical importance. There are many mentions of this city in the mythological stories of Hindu culture. Tezpur also has many temples of Lord Shiva. The prime attractions are the Shiva temple, Coal Park, Agneegarh, the Brahmaputra beach and the Ghats etc. The stay for the night will be in a hotel in Tezpur.
Day 09 : Tezpur to Guwahati (210km/4hrs)
We will head back to Guwahati, the next day. After reaching the destination, if time permits we will take you out for sightseeing of the city. Guwahati – the gateway of Northeastern India is a beautiful city with many places to check out. The stay will be at a hotel in Guwahati.
Day 10 : Guwahati Sightseeing (100km/8hrs)
We will take you out for sightseeing after breakfast. The places to see here are Kamakhya temple, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Balaji temple, Umananda – the smallest river island in the world, Deepor Beel – a fresh water lake and Brahmaputra River cruises. The stay will be at the same hotel.
Day 11 : Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)
We will pick you up from the Hotel and drop you at Guwahati airport according to your departure time with sweet memories of the trip with Paradise Northeast.
