Day 01 : Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)
Your birding trip of the unexplored paradise will start with visiting Nameri. After receiving you at the airport, we will take you to Nameri National Park. Nameri is situated in the foothills of ranges of Himalaya in Assam. It’s a beautiful forest reserve with a number of wildlife species and birds. Apart from them, it is also famous for adventure activities like angling, river rafting and jungle trekking. The stay will be at Nameri.
Day 02 : Nameri Birding (70km/8hrs)
We will take you for jungle trekking inside Nameri National Park. You will get see different birds babblers, wild ducks, hornbills, woodpeckers, etc along with the wild animals of the park. The stay will at the same place.
Day 03 : Nameri to Eaglenest (120km/5hrs)
From Nameri, we will take you to Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary which is the prime birding destination in Northeast. Situated in Arunachal Pradesh, in the green foothills of Himalayan ranges it is a beautiful place rich with all kinds of Himalayan birds. It is home to wide range of Himalayan birds like Rufous-Necked Hornbill, Rufous-bellied hawk-eagle, Red headed trogon, Grey-headed Bullfinch, Maroon Oriole, Sikkim Wedge-billed Wren-babbler, Bugun Liocichla, temminck’s Tragopan, blue-fronted robin and Ward’s Trogon. The stay will be at Lama Camp.
Day 04 : Eaglenest Birding (40km/8hrs)
On this day you will trek through the trails of the forest. Apart from birds like northern goshawk, pied falconet, hawk-eagle, black-faced laughing-thrush, rufous-bellied bulbul, Crimson-browed finch, Cutia, Black-eared shrike-babbler, it is also home to Blyth’s tragopan which is an endangered species. Eaglenest is also famous for butterflies which are widely seen in the summer. After reaching a certain point in the forest, you will be taken back to the staying place.
Day 05 : Eaglenest Birding (40km/8hrs)
You will be taken to the place where you left on the previous day, to continue the birding. You will complete all the birding sites around the Eaglenest sanctuary by the evening of this day. You will be taken back to the same place for the night’s stay.
Day 06 : Lamacamp to Bamphu Camp & Birding (35km/8hrs)
On this day, you we will be taken to the place where you left on the previous day. From there you will move towards north of the sanctuary. To the north, there are reserve forests of Bugun community located on that area, also known as Lama Camp area. At the end of the trek, you will reach there. You will be staying there.
Day 07 : Bamphu Camp Birding (30km/8hrs)
On this day you will start the birding around Bamphu Camp. You will visit the interior areas of the reserve forest through the forest trails, where you can find the beautiful rare species of Himalayan birds. All the areas will be completed by this day. The stay will be at the same place in Bamphu Camp.
Day 08 :Eaglenest to Dirang (110km/5hrs)
We will take you to Dirang, in the morning, which is situated north from Bomdila. Dirang is a valley of the Himalayan foothills. It is also a famous among the bird lovers of the world. We will show you around Dirang, the places like Dirang – Dzong, a hot water spring and the Tibetan villages. You will also see some beautiful Himalayan birds in this area. The stay will be at a hotel in Dirang.
Day 09 :Dirang & selapass Birding (200km/10hrs)
Next day we will take you further north of Dirang. We will take you to Sela Pass, which situated at around 13500 feet from mean sea level. After reaching Sela Pass, we will show you the places around there where the high altitude birds are seen. We will also show you other sightseeing places like the beautiful Sela Lake or Paradise Lake and Jaswantgarh War Memorial.
Day 10 : Mondela & Dirang Birding (200km/10hrs)
From Dirang we will take you for birding tour of a higher altitude place called Mandala. Mandala is the heart northeast for watching high altitude birds. Along with the other Himalayan birds, you will get to see birds like Black throated Prinia, Eyebrowed Wren Babbler, Scaly-breasted wren-babbler, Grey-sided laughingthrush, Golden naped finch, and Long Tailed Broadbill. We will also take you to a tour of that place. We will return to Dirang for the night’s stay.
Day 11 : Dirang to Guwahati ( 390km/10hrs)
From there we will head back towards Guwahati on this day. After reaching Guwahati, we will take you to the Brahmaputra river cruise in the evening to enjoy the sunset in the Brahmaputra River. The stay will be at Guwahati.
Day 12 : Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)
Before dropping you at the airport, we will show you one or two places around Guwahati. We will take you to the Kamakhya temple or Umananda (which is the smallest river island in the world) or Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra. And, thus will end your exploration of an unexplored paradise.
