Day 01 : Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100Km/6hrs)
We will receive you at Guwahati Airport and take you for the holy visit of Kamakhya temple in the Nilachal Hills. After that, will take you straight to Shillong, which is nearly 4 hours drive from Guwahati. Shillong, a beautiful hill station also known as the Scotland of the East is the capital city of Meghalaya and one of the major tourist destinations of East India. In the route, we will stop at Umiam Lake where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake. After reaching Shillong, we will check you in to your hotel where you will stay for the night. If time permits, we will take you to local sightseeing of the city.
Day 02 : Places: Laitlum Canyons & Krang Suri Waterfalls Sightseeing (220km/8hrs)
After breakfast, we will take you to the Laitlum Canyons, situated at around 30kms away from Shillong, near Smit valley. After enjoying the cloudy landscapes in the green canyons, we will move towards the exciting sightseeing of Krang Suri waterfalls. Situated at around 90kms away from Shillong, in the Jaintia hills, Krang Suri is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of India. It is famous for its crystal clear blue waters. After enjoying a wonderful day, we will return to Shillong for the night stay.
Day 03 : Places: Shillong Sightseeing (60km/7hrs)
Shillong, a beautiful hill station also known as the Scotland of the East is the capital city of Meghalaya and one of the major tourist destinations of East India. Shillong is famous for its clean steep streets, beautiful lakes, parks and of course the breathtaking waterfalls. So on this day, we will take you out on a local sightseeing of this place. Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco Museum, Elephant falls, Shillong peak, and golf course are some notable sightseeing destinations in the city. We will stay at the same place in Shillong.
Day 04 : Places: Shillong to Mawlynnong, Mawlynnong & Dawki sightseeing, Dawki to Cherrapunji (240km/8hrs)
In the morning, we will head towards the Asiaâs cleanest village Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong is famous for its cleanliness and living root bridges. We will further take you to Dawki, about 20 kilometers south of Mawlynnong. Dawki lies at the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for a suspension bridge over Umngot River (commonly known as Dawki bridge) constructed by British in 1932. Optional boating is also available on the crystal clear waters of Umngot River. After sightseeing at Dawki, we will head towards Cherrapunji for the night’s stay.
Day 05 : Places: Cherrapunji sightseeing. (50Km/7hrs)
This day would be sightseeing at the wettest place on the Earth! Yes, we are talking about Cherrapunji, which holds the all-time record for the most rainfall in a year. Cherrapunji is famous for Wah Kaba, Arwah Lumshynna Cave, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Seven Sister waterfalls, Mawsmai caves (and of course the unending rainfalls of summer) etc. We will show you all the notable places in Cherrapunji. The night stay will be at the same place in Cherrapunji.
Day 06 : Places: Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (320Km/8hrs)
After breakfast, we will start our journey towards Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is a world heritage site situated in the heart of Assam. It is a beautiful forest, with wonderful animals and birds to watch. The most prominent one is the one horned rhinoceros, for which thousands of tourists from all over the world visits Kaziranga every year. After reaching there, we will check in to our hotel in Kaziranga for a relaxing stay.
Day 07 :Places: Kaziranga Sightseeing, Kaziranga Safaris (70Kms/8hrs)
Early morning we will take you for exciting elephant safari. Feel the gratifying pleasure in the early morning elephant safari across National Park. Meet the pride of India, the great Asian one-horned Rhinos with wild Buffalo, Tiger, Elephant, variety of Deer, Python and variety of migratory birds, water birds, predators, scavengers and game birds etc. The ride will make you feel like sailing mysteriously on a green sea as the grass is as high.
