Day 01 : Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Kaziranga (240km/5hrs)
Your trip will start at Kaziranga. After receiving you at the Guwahati airport, we will take you straight to Kaziranga. Kaziranga is a national park located in Golaghat district of Assam. With an area of more than 430 square kilometers it is famous for the one horned rhinoceros and a wide range of wildlife species across the world. After reaching there, we will take you to jeep safari if we reach there by afternoon. Else if, the last jeep safari is over for the day then we will take you out for local sightseeing of the place. There are numerous places around Kaziranga to enjoy. The orchid garden, vast tea garden areas, hilly streams, nature camps, Assamese villages, ethnic village models etc. are some local sightseeing places. The stay will be Kaziranga.
Day 02 : Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)
In the early morning we will take you elephant safari of the forest. On the back of elephant you can enjoy the beauty of wildlife and breathtaking sceneries of Kaziranga. After that we will take you out for local sightseeing. Kaziranga has total four ranges which offer jeep safaris. So, in the afternoon we will take you out for jeep safari of another range. In the whole day of safari you will get to view wild animals like rhinoceros, deer and stags, Indian bison, Asiatic elephants, wild boar, bear, leopard, different species of Himalayan and migratory birds, and if lucky the royal Bengal tiger in its natural habitat. The stay for the night will be at the same place.
Day 03 : Kaziranga to Majuli, Majuli Sightseeing (170km/8hrs)
In the morning, we will set out for the beautiful river island in the heart of Brahmaputra – Majuli. Majuli, the only island district of India, is the largest river island in the world which has an area of around 1250 square kilometers. We will take you out explore the large island. The prime attractions of this place are the Vaishnavite culture of Hinduism and its very old institutions or monasteries, the tribal villages, and especially the cycle trips around the island. If you are interested to meet Padma ShriJadav Payeng, please inform about it our way from Kaziranga. Mr. Payeng (also known as the “Forest Man of India”) is famous for creating a forest from a wasteland of around 1360 acres just by planting trees over many decades. The stay for the night will be at Majuli.
Day 04 : Majuli to Nameri (255km/7hrs)
We will set out for Nameri national park. Nameri is a national park located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in Assam. Nameri is famous for a wide range of wildlife species, but it is more of an adventurous place than just wildlife safaris. The main attractions among the tourists are the activities like jungle trekking inside the national park, river rafting over Jia Bhoroli River and angling in Jia Bhoroli. On reaching there, if time permits, we will take you to river rafting. On the next day, you will be taken out for jungle trekking. You will stay at Nameri.
Day 05 : Nameri to Dirang (160km/6hrs)
Our next destination will be Dirang. Dirang is also situated at the Himalayan foothill valley in Arunachal Pradesh. It is famous for birding among birders of the world. The other prime attractions of Dirang valley are Dirang – Dzong, the culture and architectures of Tibetan villages, an old electricity mill. The stay will be at Dirang.
Day 06 : Dirang to Tawang (145km/7hrs)
We will set out towards Tawang in the early morning. There are many sightseeing spots on the route to Tawang from Dirang, which includes a hot water spring (just outside Dirang), Sela Pass (situated at around 13700 feet), Sela Lake or Paradise Lake, Jaswantgarh War memorial, and the Nuranang falls. After reaching Tawang, we will show you all the local places within Tawang. Those places includes the second largest monastery in Asia, i.e. the Tawang monastery, Nun monastery, Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, the Emporium, Apple orchards, the Craft centre etc. You can also enjoy rope way rides while visiting the Nun monastery. The stay will be at the same place.
Day 07 : Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)
On this day we will take you out for the sightseeing of places around Tawang (which are not within the locality). We are going to visit the following places: the border of India and China at Bum La Pass, the Heart Lake, the Nagula Lake, the Sangester Lake, PTSO Lake and the Y Junction. Please note that if you are planning to visit the border at Bum La Pass, then you must choose one of our itineraries which have at least 3 days stay at Tawang. This is because the visiting pass for Bum La Pass border cannot be obtained within a day. You will be staying at the same place.
Day 08 : Tawang to Bomdila (185km/8hrs)
We will head back towards Bomdila from Tawang. Bomdila is a beautiful town also stituated in the valley of Himalayan foothills and nearby the town there lies the famous Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, known for birding in the world. Bomdila’s prime tourist attractions are the Bomdila monastery, Bomdila market, Bomdila view point, emporium and craft center, and of course the Himalayan birds in Eaglenest sanctuary for birders. Your stay for the night will be at Bomdila.
Day 09 : Bomdila to Tezpur, Tezpur Sightseeing (170km/8hrs)
From Bomdila, our next destination will be Tezpur. We will start our journey in the morning. Tezpur is a city in the north bank of Brahmaputra, famous for ancient history and Lord Shiva temples. For its vivid cultures and people, it is also known as the cultural city of Assam. After reaching there we will visit the beautiful sightseeing places of this city. The notable places are the Agnigarh, the Lord Shiva temples, the Ghats of Brahmaputra, and the city parks. Your stay will be at Tezpur.
Day 10 : Tezpur to Shillong (270km/7hrs)
From Tezpur we will head to Shillong on this day. Shillong is a hill station in Meghalaya. Popularly known as Scotland of the East, it is famous for the beautiful Scotland-like weather among the tourists. The notable attractions in Shillong are Shillong Peak, Elephant falls, the Umiam Lake, the Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park and Don Bosco Museum. Your stay will be at Shillong for the night.
Day 11 : Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (245km/9hrs)
Next we will go to Mawlynnong and Dawki. Mawlynnong and Dawki are two small places in Maghalaya, at a distance of around 20 kilometers apart from each other. Mawlynnong is known as the cleanest village in Asia. It is a clean and beautiful village which has a living root bridge created by nature. Next we will head to Dawki. It is a border town at India – Bangladesh border. It is famous for Dawki bridge (a suspension bridge constructed by British in 1932) over the Umngot River and boating on the Umngot River. From Dawki we go to Cherrapunji in afternoon/evening. The night’s stay will be at Cherrapunji.
Day 12 : Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60km/7hrs)
Cherrapunji is a great destination known for the rainfalls throughout the year. The places to check out in Cherrapunji are some living root bridges (similar to that of Mawlynnong) fromed naturally by the trees in the course of a long period of time, the Seven sisters falls, the Nohkalikai falls and the Mawsmai caves. Our stay for the night will be at the same place.
Day 13 : Cherrapunji to Guwahati (190km/6hrs)
We will take you to Guwahati from Cherrapunji in the morning. After reaching Guwahati, we will take you out on sightseeing of the city. The notable places in Guwahati are the Kamakhya temple, the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, river cruises on Brahmaputra, the Umananda temple, Assam State Museum, Deepor Beel etc. The stay will bet Guwahati.
Day 14 : Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)
We will pick you up from the Hotel and drop you at Guwahati airport according to your departure time with sweet memories of the trip with Paradise Northeast.
