Day 01 : Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)
Your trip will start at Nameri. After receiving you at the Guwahati airport, we will take you straight to Nameri. Nameri is a national park located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in Assam. Famous for a wide range of wildlife species, it is also popular among the tourists for adventurous activities like jungle trekking inside Nameri national park, river rafting over Jia Bhoroli River and angling in Jia Bhoroli. At first we will take you to trekking where you can see different wild animals and enjoy the forest. Then will take you to the river rafting spot. The stay for the night will be at Nameri.
Day 02 : Nameri to Dirang (160Km/6hrs)
Our next destination will be Dirang. Dirang is a beautiful valley, situated in the foothills of Himalayan mountain ranges, famous for birding. The tourist attractions of Dirang are Dirang – Dzong, Tibetan villages and its beautiful architectures, monasteries and an old electricity mill. There is also a hot water spring nearby Dirang, which will be shown to you on the next day on our way to Tawang. The stay will be at Dirang.
Day 03 : Dirang to Tawang (145Km/7hrs)
Our next destination will be Tawang. But on the way to Tawang, there lies many beautiful places worth watching. We will show you all those places on our way, starting with the hot water spring in Dirang valley. The other places that you will get to see on the way before reaching Tawang are as follows: Sela Pass, Sela Lake or Paradise Lake, Jaswantgarh war memorial and Nuranang falls. We will halt at Tawang and stay there.
Day 04 : Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)
On this day we will show you the local places of Tawang. Those places includes the second largest monastery in Asia, i.e. the Tawang monastery, Nun monastery, Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, the Emporium, Apple orchards, the Craft centre etc. You can also enjoy riding on rope ways while visiting the Nun monastery. The stay will be at the same place.
Day 05 : Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)
We will set out for the sightseeing of places around Tawang on this day. The following are the places we are going to visit on that day: the border of India and China at Bum La Pass, the Heart Lake, the Nagula Lake, the Sangester Lake, PTSO Lake and the Y Junction. Please note that if you are planning to visit the border at Bum La Pass, then you must choose one of our itineraries which have at least 3 days stay at Tawang. This is because the pass for visiting Bum La Pass cannot be obtained in a single day. You will stay at the same place.
Day 06 : Tawang to Bomdila (185Km/8hrs)
We will come back to Bomdila from Tawang. It is a beautiful town in the valley of Himalayan foothills and nearby the town there lies the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, famous for birding. Bomdila’s prime tourist attractions are Eaglenest, the Bomdila monastery, Bomdila market, apple orchards, orchid farms etc. Your stay for the night will be at Bomdila.
Day 07 : Bomdila to Kaziranga, Tezpur Sightseeing (240Km/7hrs)
From Bomdila, our next destination will be Kaziranga. We will start our journey in the morning. Kaziranga is a World Heritage site situated famous for the one horned rhinoceros. It is also famous for a number of wildlife species like the tiger (which is seen in its natural habitat), different species of deer, Himalayan bison, different species of migratory bird, Himalayan birds etc. On our way to Kaziranga, we stop by Tezpur and visit the beautiful sightseeing places of this city. Situated along the banks of Brahmaputra, Tezpur is also known as the cultural city of Assam. After sightseeing of places like the Agnigarh, the Lord Shiva temples, the Ghats of Brahmaputra, and the gardens, we will continue towards Kaziranga. Your stay will be at Kaziranga.
Day 08 : Kaziranga Sightseeing (80Km/8hrs)
This day early in the morning, we will take you out for Elephant safari of Kaziranga National Park. As you will travel through the forest on the back of an elephant, you can enjoy the views of different wildlife species along with the one horned rhinoceros from very closeness. After that we will take you out for the local sightseeing of Kaziranga like the orchid garden, the vast tea-gardens, ethnic villages and Assamese local villages. In the afternoon, we will take you for Jeep safari of Kaziranga National Park in any of the range of your choice. Also, do not forget to get a taste of the delicious Assamese fish curries and other cuisines. Your stay will be at the same place.
Day 09 : Kaziranga to Shillong (280km/7hrs)
From there, in the morning, we will take you straight to Shillong. Shillong is a hill station and popularly known as Scotland of the East. It is famous for the beautiful Scotland-like weather. The prime attractions in Shillong are Shillong Peak, Elephant falls, the Umiam Lake, the Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park and Don Bosco Museum. We will show you the possible places till the evening, and complete the rest sightseeing on the next day. You will be staying at Shillong for the night.
Day 10 : Shillong & Cherrapunji Sightseeinhg (170km/9hrs)
In the morning, we will complete all the sightseeing places of Shillong and head towards Cherrapunji. On the way we will show you the Elephant falls and the Shillong Peak and then continue towards Cherrapunji. Cherrapunji is an amazing place known for the rainfalls throughout the year. The places to see in Cherrapunji are the Seven sisters falls, the Nohkalikai falls and the Mawsmai caves. Our stay for the night will be at Shillong.
Day 11 : Mawlynnong & Dawki, Sightseeing (245km/9hrs)
Next we will go to Mawlynnong and Dawki. Mawlynnong and Dawki are two small places at a distance of around 20 kilometers apart from each other. Mawlynnong is known for its cleanliness and hence it is also named as the cleanest village in Asia. It is a beautiful village, and it also has a living root bridge similar to that of Cherrapunji. Dawki is a border town at India – Bangladesh border. It is famous for Dawki bridge (a suspension bridge constructed by British in 1932) over the Umngot River and boating on the Umngot River. From Dawki we will head back to Shillong in the afternoon/evening. The night’s stay will be at the same place of Shillong.
Day 12 : Shillong to Guwahati, Airport Drop (100km/4hrs)
We will take you to Guwahati from Shillong in the morning. After reaching Guwahati, if time permits we can show you one or two sightseeing places around Guwahati (like the Kamakhya temple or the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra or a cruise on Brahmaputra). After that, we will drop you at the airport at the required time. And thus, your northeast holiday trip will end here.
