Day 1: Arrive at Agartala

  • Arrive at Agartala, the capital city of Tripura.
  • Transfer to your hotel and check in.
    After lunch, explore some of the city’s key attractions:
    • Ujjayanta Palace: This former royal palace, constructed between 1899 and 1901, offers a glimpse into Tripura’s regal past.
    • Lakshmi Narayan Temple and Jagannath Temple: Both are significant religious sites in Agartala.
  • Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Agartala to Jampui Hills

  • After breakfast, set out for Jampui Hills, a picturesque hill station at an altitude of 3,000 feet.
    • The drive to Jampui is scenic, featuring lush tea and coffee plantations, and stretches of pineapple and rubber plantations.
  • Spend the day exploring the natural beauty of the hills.

Day 3: Jampui to Unakoti

  • Travel to Unakoti, a significant pilgrimage site known for its impressive rock carvings.
    • Notable carvings include the 30-foot high Shiva head (Unakoti) and a gigantic Ganesha head, which are key highlights of the site.

Day 4: Unakoti to Baramura Eco Park – Kamalasagar

  • Visit Baramura Eco Park, a serene and green area perfect for relaxation.
  • Continue to Kamalasagar:
    • Kali Temple (Kasba Kali Bari): Situated on the borders of India and Bangladesh, this temple is renowned for its scenic beauty.
    • Comilla View Point: Offers a panoramic view of the plains of Bangladesh.

Day 5: Kamalasagar to Udaipur – Tepania Eco Park

  • Arrive in Udaipur, one of Tripura’s largest cities, known for its significant temples:
    • Tripura Sundari Temple and Bhubaneswari Temple.
  • Head to Tepania Eco Park:
    • Covering 155 hectares within the Radhakishorepur Reserve Forest, the park features an orchidarium with about 200 species of orchids.

Day 6: Udaipur to Neermahal

  • Travel to Neermahal, the summer palace built by King Bir Bikram Kishore Debbarman in 1930.
    • Located in the middle of Lake Rudrasagar, Neermahal is one of India’s most beautiful lake palaces, offering stunning views and historical charm.

Day 7: Neermahal to Sepahijala – Agartala

  • After breakfast, check out and head to Agartala via Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary.
    • Sepahijala Sanctuary: Spanning 19 km², it’s a haven for bird watchers with over 150 species of birds and rare spectacled monkeys.
  • Return to Agartala for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Leaving Agartala (Tripura)

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • Transfer to the airport or railway station.
  • Depart with wonderful memories of Tripura, a small yet captivating state.
